What would you highlight about Palazzo Lion Morosini
Stunning setting and view, quintuple is perfect for a family of 5 once you’ve navigated check in, and unique opportunity
It’s absolutely amazing location for the price, as long as you can negotiate the stair case… I’m talking specifically about the quintuple here with the terrace. For a family of 5 perfect after you put the little ones to sleep to have a nice drink while watching the gondolas pass on the grand canal… in the morning you see the fisherman loading up with supplies for local restaurants… even the rubbish boats! Best of all it’s also the exact filming location, just in front for the Bond finale on casino royale when the house falls into the canal, though we only found that out from a gondola ride. Also pretty cool to land on the jetty outside your room directly by water taxi. An indulgence, but quite an entrance!!
Check in a little bit involved and a faff as it’s 5 minute’s away and there’s not many facilities on site of the actual room. In the end everyone stayed on the staircase while dad went to get the key with all the passports. Would consider this room in this hotel as a bit like a satellite rentable room, a hidden gem. But some might not like lack of on site facilities. It’s right in the heart of all the shops etc if you need anything. We loved it.

The room was the perfect base for a 24 hr visit to Venice.
Good value for 5, super location, staff were great.
There was a very unpleasant smell coming up from the depths into the room in the evening time - that might be more to do with the pressure Venice is under....

Big room, super cheap with great location.
Location is exceptional.
The room was a little smelly and the beds quite hard but i guess it matches the price when you consider location, we only stayed one night so that was ok for us.

great location, fantastic old building
in dire need of renovation, bathroom old, balcony door didn't lock, we've heard the other rooms as if they were stamding in our room
